Aitrus, around the time Anna was descending to the D'ni city, was working with others to try and gain access to the surface. He drew a map with detailed descriptions, called meD'nE bretalEo[?] (med'nee bretahleeo), "From D'ni to the Surface".

[edit] Background

The following section is written from an OOC point of view. Events and elements surrounding the Myst Universe are regarded as fictional.

The map appears in the Book of Ti'ana. A copy of Cyan's small version of this map can be found at All Things URU, including some translations from D'ni to English for Aitrus's descriptions. A poster-size version is included with the hardcover version of the Book.

As revealed at the D'ni Linguistic Fellowship's History of D'ni Linguistics, the release of this map, accompanied with Cyan's explanation, meant tremendous progress for Myst fans' ability to understand D'ni.
