The Protector's Necklace was a Serenian artifact worn by the Protectors. The necklace would show them powerful memories of the past when touching a related object.
One was given by Anya to Yeesha in a ceremony to celebrate Yeesha's mastery of their customs and how to Dream. She could use it with artifacts of the house, and that way she surprised Atrus when she told him she realized some details of Anna's death, something that Atrus never described to her in full.
Yeesha lost the necklace when Sirrus escaped and abducted her, but it was picked up by the Stranger. It helped the Stranger realize some details of the background of her abduction, as well as the life of Sirrus and Achenar in their prisons.
