Anna's father

Anna's father was a human explorer and surveyor. Although we don't know his name, we do know that he grew up in Europe before coming to the desert with his family, making their living by mapping the area.
After an accident that cost the life of his wife he was left alone with Anna and lived together in the Lodge. In the times the stories take place, father and daughter worked for Lord Amanjira. He was an avid player of chess which he taught to Anna.
He died after an undefined illness.
