Barnacle moss is a bulbous, moss-like plant native to the Age of Edanna. Though quite compact in its undisturbed state, it inflates to considerable size upon hearing the peculiar chirping call of the squee, who then proceeds to suckle its sap. The inflated moss is extremely durable, capable of breaking apart logs and withstanding at least enough weight to serve as a walkway.

Barnacle moss has also been imported to the Age of J'nanin, where it serves as a key player in navigating to Edanna's linking book.
