Bilaris was an Age with a number of islands, accessed by a book found in the Jaren district of the D'ni city. A group of survivors from the fall of D'ni fled here and settled on the far side of the smaller islands to conceal themselves from intruders. Seventy years later they left Bilaris to join Atrus in his effort to rebuild D'ni.
