Calam

Calam was a member (possibly Guild Master) of the Guild of Writers.
Yeesha met him after a period of loneliness and desperation. The two had a hard time getting along at first, but found themselves as becoming friends. As Calam taught Yeesha more about the Art, she showed him how to put rest to D'ni traditions and rules that she perceived as outdated.
He was murdered by an unknown individual, which Yeesha blames herself for; in a fit of rage, she killed his murderer.
