D'mala Mass Link

On December 19, 2006, almost three years after the end of Uru Live the DRC called a meeting in a neighborhood to discuss the official restart of the restoration. They started the meeting with the usual formalities, then allowed the attending explorers to field a few questions. After only a few questions had been asked, Dr. Ikuro Kodama stopped to take a look at his KI, before saying "What the..." A few seconds later, an extrememly loud Bahro screech was heard, immediately followed by everyone in D'ni and the ages being forcibly linked to their Relto.

After this event, there seemed to be varying levels of damage done to key points in Ae'gura, as well as the neighborhoods. All currently issued KIs ceased to function, all Relto books were stripped of their pages and collected books, and the lattice system was reset, clearing all stored text, images, and neighborhood registrations. Other effects may have included the loss of Great Zero calibration data, and unusual naming errors such as all neighborhoods being referred to as "Bevin", Eder Kemo being listed as "Garden" and Gahreesen displayed as "Garrison".

All damage to Ae'gura and the neighborhoods has been repaired, and the explorers are free to do what they'd like to restore their Relto books, as well as data once stored in the lattice.

It is still unknown what caused the damage, and if the mass link was related or simply a result of the problem.
