Emmit

Emmit was the first inhabitant of The Rocks on Stoneship. As a boy he befriended Branch, Will, and then Atrus when they arrived, and helped Atrus build the lighthouse that attracted more people to dwell there.

The journals mention that Atrus was puzzled of his presence and existence, but for some reason he never got a satisfactory answer.

He may have had children, but all who lived on The Rocks were dead or left by the time the tyrannical and bloodthirsty reigns of Sirrus and Achenar were finished.
