Falling man
From MYSTlore
The falling man is a logo of Myst over Myst Island. This person could be the Stranger or Atrus.

[edit] Arguments for the identity
[edit] Atrus
- Atrus is seen in the Myst opening sequence falling into the star fissure, so the logo could represent this instant.
- The Stranger did not fall onto Myst, he just linked to it.
- The silhouette is clearly male, while the Stranger's gender is unknown.
[edit] Stranger
- Unlike the silhouette, Atrus is seen in the introduction to wear a longcoat.
- Atrus was holding the Myst book when he jumped into the fissure.
- The falling could be a visual representation (with some artistic license) of how someone "falls from the sky" and finds himself in an unknown alien place.
- The concept did not concern much the events on Riven or the star fissure.
[edit] Other uses
- As of Mysterium 2008, the falling man design has been mandated by the Mysterium Committee for all t-shirt front-side logos as a recognizable element.
- The design has also been used in a satiric replacement box art for the PlayStation 3 video game Resistance: Fall of Man (Wikipedia).[1]
