Flame

Flame was a cat, a pet of Atrus's given to him by his grandmother Anna as a birthday gift. She had purchased the kitten from traders who called it Pahket (a lucky name, according to the elder traders) but Atrus renamed it Flame after its orange color. ^[1]

Flame died after rolling in toxic plants growing near the Cleft and then licking her fur. ^[2]
