Flapper

The Flapper: laying on the surface, launching into the air, and floating back down.

Flappers are creatures found in Teledahn. They are flat invertebrates which have a mouth on the underside but no visible eyes.

The Flappers' near-constant motion makes them easy to spot in the swampy areas of Teledahn. After lying flat on the surface of the water for only a few seconds, the Flapper quickly folds its body down into the shape of a cylinder. Air trapped beneath the flapper is rapidly funneled down, and the Flapper launches straight up into the air. Gravity takes over after only a few meters, and the Flapper reopens its body into slightly convex shape, and floats back down to the water on a gentle cushion of air.

Not much is known about the life cycle and diet of the flapper. They are often eaten by Shroomies.
