Five Lords

The Five Lords or Great Lords were the leaders of the D'ni government for the last portion of its history, established by King Kerath when he abdicated in 6977 DE (679 BC). They were the heads of the Council and made many important decisions, but only participated in a Council votes if it was close enough for them to influence the result.
It is suggested the Lords are the Grand Masters of the Guilds of Writers, Miners, Maintainers, Book Makers, and Ink Makers. However, historically they are chosen from the 18 Grand Masters, and most of the known Lords have been from other Guilds too
When a Lord died the Great Bell of Ae'gura would sound.
The last Lords were killed by A'gaeris and Veovis's plague despite fleeing to a Guild Age.
