Guild College

The Guild College was the D'ni system that educated and trained future Major Guild members. A standard entry age for children was five (as in Garternay), but this was lowered to four sometime after 4700 DE (2956 BC). Eventually only the wealthier families were able to pay the fees to enter, although in 4721 DE (2935 BC) King Dimath forced the Guilds to accept some of the students who were not able to afford it.
By 9400 DE (1745 AD) a student's time in the College was divided into terms, the first of which lasted four years. Open Days were held occasionally in which students could be visited by their family members.
