For the Grand Master of the Guild of Caterers, see Hinahsh.

Hinash (2467 - 2779 DE (5189 - 4877 BC)) was a King of D'ni from 2533 DE (5123 BC) until his death. He was a former member of the Guild of Stone Masons and pursued a policy of increased trade and contact with other cultures, relaxing many of the rules that had earlier been in place. He also pushed for expansion of the cavern, but met with little success in this endeavor.

His second wife was an ahrotahn. Despite this being the first marriage of its kind there was little opposition, although there was concern among the D'ni populace about the possibility of a half-D'ni heir. However, Hinash's second wife had no sons and he left the throne to Needrah, a son by his first wife.
