[edit] During Solath's reign

Solath married Jolatha after the death of his first wife in 1735 DE (5921 BC), against the advice of a prophetess. While Solath denied it, records indicate that Jolatha was a member of a cult called The Tree. She gave birth to Solath's eldest son, Me'erta, in 1748 DE (5908 BC).

[edit] During Me'erta's reign

D'ni historians indicate that it was widely believed that she held significant sway over what Me'erta did as king. He supported unorthodox religious beliefs such as those that his mother is rumored to have supported.

According to one story, Jolatha used Me'erta's weakness for women to convince him to push the Guild of Writers to change their oath. After the Guild refused, Grand Master Tremal was found dead, possibly on order from Jolatha. The Guild continued to refuse, however.

[edit] Breaching the Tomb of the Great King

In 1999 DE (5657 BC), Jolatha had her son surreptitiously break the seal of the Tomb of the Great King. She took some books from the Tomb and placed them in the Temple of the Tree as well as what Jolatha claimed was a fragment of the robe of Ahlsendar.

Her motivation for this was unknown, some claiming she was trying to debunk the legend of the Great King. Others claimed she wanted the books for The Tree, while still others simply claimed she was possessed by Jakooth.

Jolatha died a few days later of an unknown illness. King Me'erta believed that she died from a curse from entering the tomb and had the tomb sealed again.
