Tejara was a King of D'ni from 3219 DE (4437 BC) until his death in 3422 DE (4234 BC). Unlike his father Rakeri, he focused on pleasing himself throughout his reign, although he was clever enough to hide this from his subjects.

Tejara had numerous lovers of whom he was extremely jealous. He had his brother imprisoned on the charge of writing illicit Ages when in fact it was punishment for what he saw as his brother's ogling. Another of Tejara's victims was a Guild Master of the Miners due to a long-past relationship with one of Tejara's lovers.

In 3279 DE (4377 BC) Tejara ordered two members of the Guild of Writers to write the King's Age for him. Both died of mysterious illnesses shortly afterward.

Tejara officially had three sons, but he may have actually had nineteen children with his wife and various lovers. He left the throne to his son Ti'amel.
