Koreen (1109 - 1352 DE (6547 - 6304 BC)) was King of D'ni during the early stages of the Pento War.

[edit] Life

Koreen was born in 1109 DE (6547 BC) and was the elder of King Mararon's sons.

His younger brother was a Guild Captain in the Guild of Linguists and the two remained close for much of Koreen's reign.

During his reign a group of religious zealots called the Judges of Yahvo became the greatest threat D'ni had faced. In 1303 DE (6353 BC) a writer mysteriously left the Guild of Writers and books and ink went missing shortly afterwards. Koreen tightened security in the Guilds but did not find the missing writer.

In fact the Judges were writing Ages in an attempt to find a race they could use as an army. In 1320 DE (6336 BC) they wrote Pento and in 1323 DE (6333 BC) a Pento army attacked Koreen's palace. His family escaped through the city and into another Age. Apparently Koreen's wife gave birth to his first son, Ahlsendar, while passing through the King's Arch.

Koreen continued to live in the city as the Judges slowly took over. In 1352 DE (6304 BC), Koreen was assassinated by a group of Pento warriors being led by Judges and the D'ni were thrown into chaos.
