A Korfah V'ja (Korfa v'ja[?], "first book celebration") marked the acceptance of a new Age into the canon of the greatest works of the Guild of Writers. The first ceremony, attended by the Writer himself and the seven highest members of the Guild, occurred in Yakul, at which the Grand Master of the Guild spoke the Words of Binding. This would be reenacted at a celebration on the new Age itself, to which many guests would be invited.

In the history of D'ni 93 Writers were thus honored, including Ri'neref, the writers of the Five Classics. Among the youngest was Veovis for his Age Ader Jamat.

Gehn had his own twisted version of the Korfah V'ja, celebrated when Atrus wrote his first Age. Held on Gehn's 37th Age, it treated Atrus as a new god to be worshipped.

This medallion appears in many places in Myst (the Planetarium door, the door handle and the chair of the sunken Ship, and Sirrus' chamber in Stoneship); it is believed by fans to represent a Korfah V'ja[1]; however there is no official answer to this and the origins of this belief is unknown.
