Mass Mysteria

Mass Mysteria (a play on "Massachusetts", "mass hysteria" and "Mysterium") is an irregular, small-scale get-together of Myst fans in the New England, USA area, though Boston has been the only host city so far. The last two Mysterias involved visiting several sites that were of particular interest to Myst fans, including but not limited to the Isabella Gardner Museum, the MFA, the Boston Aquarium, and the Mary Baker Eddy Library.

Mysteria West is a derivate in the works that evolved from the proposal to have more gatherings in the places and landscapes that inspired Myst. While being developed by the same people who headed Mass Mysteria, it was intended to be for a longer period of time, and to involve a good deal more hiking and exploring. Areas being considered include many of Utah's National Parks, such as Bryce and Zion, though the initial gathering would probably be in either LA or Las Vegas.
