Mist Wall

The Mist Wall or Whiteness was a phenomenon of Gehn's 37th Age, formed when geothermally heated water surrounding the island met the cold water of the ocean. It was revered by the inhabitants of the Age, and they held it in awe even after Gehn's arrival.
Gehn thought the natives' superstition of the Mist Wall competed with his reverence. Therefore, he decided to eliminate it by warming the ocean in the Age's Descriptive Book. This, however, led to the lowering of the sea level, stranding the island and draining its lake.
An attempt to revert the modification resulted only in linking to an alternative Age 37.
