The new image for January 7, 2008 was "fah" meaning "one". The slogan remains the same again. The new code in the source is as follows:

.ahneeteeah sifai .hoorteeah back from the dead. .idhsay rigahsehn .hev bree + cipher .(ki)hev bahrehltahn .(ki) forsake

breeseevahgahbree.fahseerigahtor.fahseereigahbree.sehnseefah.rigahtor fahseerish.breeseevahgahbree.fahseenaygahsehn.breeseeheegahtor

breeseerish.sehnseesehn.fahseerigahbree.

breeseevahgahbree.'.fahseetor.fahseenaygahsehn.breeseeheegahfah.fahseefah breeseevaht.fahseeheegahsehn.fahseerigahbree.breeseevahgahbree.breeseevaht breeseerish.breesee.sehnseenaygahbree.rigahtor.fahseeheegahtor.breeseeheebor

fahseenayvoo.'.breeseenayvoo.fahseebree.breeseerigahtor.fahseerigahfah fashseerigahsehn.breeseevahgahsehn.

The code translates to: "Get Wired. Find "Back from the Dead." Line 23. Word 2 + cipher (ki)word maker. (ki)forsake."

57.49.47.76.24.45.57.38.69 70.78.47. 57.'.29.38.66.26.55.43.47.57.55.70.50.88.24.44.65 35.'.60.27.74.46.48.58

On January 8, the puzzle still wasn't solved, so the picture on the site didn't change. The only change was the first line of the message in the source code. It changed to:

.ahneeteeah sifai .hoorteeah back from the dead. (re'hevtee okh oonray rehvahgahfahehts[sehn]) .hev vahgahsehnseerigahtorehts + cipher .(ki)hev bahrehltahn .(ki) forsake

The translation for it is: "Get Wired. Find Back From the Dead. (the words of the sixth lord[3]) 224th word + cipher. (ki)word maker. (ki) forsake."

This new information referred to a post by the_sixth_lord at the M&UO Forums[1] where he mentioned nihilism, word two of line twenty-three of page three of the Wired! article Back From the Dead.[2] A Nihilist cipher with "maker" as the keyword and "forsake" as the key was then used to decipher the message: "leilaisen zoo t'rehmahnshootahv m'gahnot", which translates to "He has charged me with the death of our empire."[3]

Another fan emailed Mysteriacs with the message "Anything else?", and got this response:[4]

gorvehn

shorah teh

That is D'ni for "Soon. With peace."
