New Transliteration System

The New Transliteration System (NTS) is a fan alternative to the OTS used by Cyan to write D'ni texts in Roman letters. The system eliminates the use of digraphs entirely, relying instead on diacritics to assign phonemes to letters. The system originated with the Guild of Linguists, who released a fan-made font that used the NTS for its keyboard mapping.
The result is a spelling less ambiguous, more consistent, and closer to the original D'ni letter spelling (letter-by-letter correspondence). However the usage of special characters was perhaps a factor that prevented its universal usage.
