Narani is the language of the people of Narayan. Very little is known about the language except for various excerpts. In written form, each word or idea is represented by a symbol composed of various preset stroke patterns. These words can be arranged into sentences, but are often composed as a poem of several symbol, conveying entire ideas at once.

"Narani" should not be confused with "Narayani", which means "relating to or of Narayan".

The Narayani Collective has done work on recreating Narani, though they have almost nothing to go on.
