[edit] Geography

Access to Negilahn is limited to one of the museum pods, a self-contained capsule with multiple large windows for viewing the outside environment. This not only protects the visitors from hazards in the environment, but also protects the local ecosystem from the visitors. The pod is solar powered, and houses spotlights which can be used for greater visibility and night-time viewing. Note that it is possible to drain the pod battery by constant use.

[edit] History

Negilahn was one of the first pods accessible through the museum. Lord Jerahl asked that it be added in 8797 DE (1142 AD), after the Maintainers and museum staff felt they had done enough research for it to be approved for public viewing.

[edit] Restoration

The DRC began work on Negilahn in 2003 (9658) and approved it for explorer access on March 1, 2007 (Leevotar 18, 9662), although there was a large crack in the pod's ceiling. Ongoing studies have shown that the local animal populations are in steep decline, apparently due to large-scale predation. Douglas Sharper was given the task of studying, and if possible correcting, the ecological imbalance.

[edit] Flora and fauna

Currently identified animals include the urwin and the two-tailed monkey. Other animals are known from a chart in the Ae'gura museum, such as the tarpin shal, the pumi, and the reepah. Most have not been seen, it is believed that there is a problem in the ecosystem. A reepah was found torn to shreds by an unknown predator, and the others have never been seen in any form.

Negilahn contains the lush Relto page.
