Nick White is a restoration engineer, responsible for many D'ni-to-English translations. He worked closely with Douglas Sharper, translating several texts from Teledahn.

After the DRC returned to the Cavern in late 2006 AD (9662 DE), Nick has been the member of the DRC most commonly seen in Cavern. He has taken up duties besides translation, due to the tight funding of the DRC. He has since been fired by the DRC.

[edit] Work with Sharper

Nick joined the DRC in 1998 AD (9654 DE) as a translator. He worked with Douglas Sharper on translating texts on Teledahn. According to Sharper's journal, Nick had some bad experiences with Michael Engberg and Dr. Kodama. He also seemed to be willing to hide some translations from the DRC for Sharper.

[edit] Negilahn

Nick recruited Rils of the D'ni Zoological Society to assist in investigating the predator issues in Negilahn.

On March 25, 2007 (Leenovoo 8, 9662), Nick, Rils and Sharper explored the area around the Negilahn pod and discovered the carcass of a reepah that Rils described as "shredded".

[edit] Suspension and Termination

As Nick visited cavern, he developed a reputation for associating with several women in Cavern, notably Sydney Austin, Heaven and Jazz. Sydney claimed that she and Nick were "involved".

On April 26 (Leefo 4), Cate Alexander announced that Nick had been suspended from the DRC for "fraternization". She cited complaints from the explorers as a primary reason for the move.

On May 3 (Leefo 10), Cate announced that Nick had been fired, though they could not bar him from visiting the cavern. After a falling out with Sydney over the matter, Sydney publicly revealed that Nick was her source for information about the DRC.
