Pir bird

Despite its sharp teeth and threatening hiss, the pir bird is quick to flee from intruders.

Pir birds, often called pirahna-chickens or chicken-pirahnas, are small flightless birds of Laki'ahn. They have very large teeth and scratch in the dirt intermittently.

"Pir" is probably short for "pirahna".
