Rikooth
From MYSTlore
Rikooth (riKUT[?]) was a King of D'ni from 6498 DE (1158 BC) until his death in 6731 DE (925 BC). He consulted closely his sister and two older brothers, who had agreed that the youngest son should have the throne, as he would have the longest potential reign ahead of him. Rikooth favored ahrotahntee involvement with D'ni, arguing that outsider contributions to culture and technology were vastly important.
In 6510 DE (1146 BC) a new cavern was discovered and Rikooth had one of his brothers, a Guild Master of the Surveyors undertake a study of the discovery. It transpired that it would be highly expensive to build in the new cavern, and Rikooth decided to continue expansion in other areas.
Rikooth married Hisha, a devoted follower of Gish's teachings, in 6556 DE (1100 BC). She strongly influenced the views of their three sons, particularly Kerath. In 6700 DE (956 BC) Rikooth grew tired of their beliefs and forced both Hisha and Kerath to leave the palace. He planned to leave the throne to another of his sons, but according to legend on his deathbed he saw Kerath sailing under the Arch of Kings, returning to announce the death of Hisha, and felt Yahvo moving him to choose Kerath as his heir.
