Rils is an Uru explorer. A member of The Great Tree (explorer organization) and at one time a member of the D'ni Explorers Guild, he also founded the D'ni Zoological Society.

On March 11, Nick White told explorers that Rils would be joining him and Douglas Sharper in an expedition outside the pod in Negilahn, to help investigate the Age's decline in animals.
