The Rotating Tower is perhaps one of the most notable features of Myst Island. It was built on and inside the highest hill of Myst island. It was accessed through the Myst Library with an elevator.

It has a lookout window that can be used to view the island, and when it is positioned correctly, it points directly at the location of the various hidden Linking books on the island. In order for the tower to 'lock', a Marker Switch must be activated. On the other side of the tower, a ladder leads to various clues on how to open those locations.

The towers controls and entry are somewhat hidden: to rotate the tower, one must use an electronic map of Myst in the library.

Its entrance is located behind the bookshelf within the library, accessed by pressing a painting just beside the bookshelf. After opening the secret passage, a short hallway leads to an elevator up into the Tower's interior.
