Rush Limbaugh Understands is an easter egg in Myst.

In Achenar's hut on Channelwood, there are several recordings in what is presumed to be the language of the inhabitants of Channelwood. One of these recordings, when played backwards, sounds like "Rush Limbaugh understands" (this cannot be heard when playing the game, though). Rush Limbaugh (Wikipedia) is a controversial conservative political commentator, hosting a radio show in the United States.

As an easter egg, this peculiarity has no bearing at all on the storyline itself, and one should probably not read too much into it, but the statement could perhaps be construed as arguing that Achenar and Rush Limbaugh share character traits, and thus would "understand" each other.

The QuickTime movie file containing the recording is named holoamth.mov.

Based on this easter egg, MYSTcommunity has a political forum of the same name.
