Myst Online: Uru Live provided multiple different platforms for for sandbox-style gameplay[1], and more may have been planned for availability over the course of time. This allowed for many different kinds of mini-games, and different platforms of sandbox can be combined to create unique gameplay.
[edit] Available platforms
- Explorer-created Marker Missions: custom markers could be placed in almost any age by explorers for others to track down, which can be used as a simple form of geocaching (Wikipedia). The Explorer Exchange website allows explorers to find Marker Missions and submit their own.
- Jalak Dador can have a custom set of columns saved by an explorer and loaded by others. The Jalak Registry is a web database collecting such creations.
