Schoolroom

The Riven schoolroom is located on Riven's Jungle Island, accessible via submarine. A few items of interest in the schoolroom include an imager of Gehn, the D'ni alphabet, and a rather crude toy that teaches D'ni numerals.

The aforementioned schooltoy is a small-scale model of the Wahrk Gallows in Jungle Island's lake. Two humanesque figurines are suspended on the gallows, above a hungry-looking model of a Wahrk. On the base of the toy is a spinner that moves the Wahrk underneath either man. This also causes the spinner to randomly select a D'ni numeral from 1 to 10 and display it on the base. The man located above the Wahrk at the time will then drop down towards the Wahrk that many spaces. If the figurine drops low enough, the Wahrk will bite the figurine and the two figurines will be reeled back to the top of the gallows. The point of the game, obviously, was to avoid getting chomped by the Wahrk.
