Shell (Cyan Chat problem)

Intending to filter out the word hell, Cyan Chat's server formerly marked shell (which contains h-e-l-l) as a bad word, going so far as to temporarily ban those who used it for the remainder of the day. This became particularly funny (or frustrating) when Cyan was about to finish The Path of the Shell, their second (and last) Uru Live expansion pack: in anticipation of the release, fans naturally heavily discussed it, frequently finding themselves wanting to type "shell". Those who were aware of the problem knew how to circumvent it (such as by using pipe symbols instead of lower-case "L" letters", i.e. "she||", or simply by abbreviating the product name to tPotS or, jokingly, Teapots), but many ran into this problem on a frequent basis, especially non-regular users.

MarkD, creator and maintainer of Cyan Chat, eventually found time to update the word filter not to exhibit this particular issue any more.

The word "uranus" exhibits a similar problem.
