A Spirit Guide is a spiritual being that guides travelers through Dream. In Serenia, they appear in three forms, each for a different personality: Wind Guides, Fire Guides, and Water Guides. The Wind Guide appears as a small tornado in a circle of small stones. The Fire Guide appears as a flame on a pile of smoldering stones. The Water Guide appears as a worm-like figure made of water coming out of a pool. They are found in the stone forest. Each one also has its own offering that a prospective traveler must give before the guide will agree to accompany them. These are a piece of pollen for Wind, some burning sap for Fire, and a bubble for Water. In Dream, the guide shows its true form. It is dangerous to go to Dream without a Spirit Guide, because without one a traveler would die, as happened to Sirrus.
