Talk:Er'cana
From MYSTlore
Hmmm... I can't seem to remember... Was Er'cana one of the Harvest Ages of the Guild of Caterers? I think so, but could someone please confirm? --D'nara 16:16, 18 December 2006 (CST)
I don't think we know. Talashar 16:33, 18 December 2006 (CST)
Hmm... I think all the harvest Ages started with "Er'"... --D'nara 04:06, 19 December 2006 (CST)
- That would appear to be the standard (however unlike the Eder standard I don't think we've been told outright). There is also a machine that people (some of whom I believe actually know what they're talking about ;)) call it a harvesting machine.--138.130.173.131 08:01, 19 December 2006 (CST)
- Well, I don't think it's at question whether the Age was used for harvesting purposes; more whether the Guild of Caterers had any relation to it. Chucker 08:02, 19 December 2006 (CST)
- Good point. --D'nara 11:18, 19 December 2006 (CST)
[edit] Capitalization
Er'cana usually has the c lower-case, but J and D are capitalized in Er'Jerah and Er'Duna. Is this done on purpose? — The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.160.156.15 (talk • contribs) 21:32, 30 May 2007. Please sign your comments!
- Capitalization is irrelevant, as there is no transliteration difference between lower-case or upper-case 'c'. They both transliterate to one and the same glyph in D'ni script. I have inquired with Cyan a while ago on Er'cana's spelling, since they have been inconsistent on it; they consider this a non-issue, so we will as well. The DRC project page says Er'cana. Do feel free to set up redirects for any possible alternative spelling, however. Chucker 15:44, 30 May 2007 (CDT)
