[edit] Is Gehn alive?

In the EoA intro, Atrus states "I've lost my father", but it's unclear whether this refers to death, or merely estrangement (which we would already know about). Judging from his age, he might have died a natural death by now. Thoughts? Chucker 01:17, 21 October 2006 (CDT)

I think Atrus is just referring to estrangement, as I doubt he would want to pop in and check on how Gehn was doing. Yeesha writes in her journal that she doesn't know whether Gehn is dead or not, although she describes the former as "more than likely". Considering Atrus is quite old in End of Ages, and Rand Miller states in the strategy guide interview that he "has done things to preserve himself", it would be remarkable if Gehn was alive. Gehn is only 20 years or so older than Atrus, as he became a father when he was very young. And, seeing to the fact that Gehn has more D'ni blood than Atrus does, he might well still be alive. --D'nara 06:44, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
