Talk:Marty O'Donnell

I was under the impression that, as hard as he tried, he did not end up working on Riven, aside from having his name (ab)used for Ytram. I'm not sure about this, however. Chucker 06:18, 28 November 2006 (CST)

He is credited in the user's manual. 0123456789 06:24, 28 November 2006 (CST)
Hm…
  • [1]: "Josh introduced me to his friends and my first game audio job was Riven: The Sequel to Myst."
  • [2]: "In 1997 his company, TotalAudio, produced sound design, foley and final mixes for Cyan’s "Riven, the Sequel to Myst""
Those would seem to point that you're right. However, there's clearly a lot of misinformation on this matter, too:
  • [3]: "Marty O'Donnell is also responsible for the soundtracks of Riven and the Myth series." That is certainly not the case. Riven's soundtrack was done by Robyn Miller. So it seems Marty worked together with Tim Larkin (who's credited for "sound design" for Riven). Chucker 06:31, 28 November 2006 (CST)
I'm not sure I understand what you mean now. He is credited under "sound design and live action foley and mix" for Riven. That's what I wrote in the article, not that he made the soundtrack. 0123456789 06:37, 28 November 2006 (CST)
I know, and I understand what you mean. I'm just idly wondering where I got the idea from. Don't mind me. Chucker 06:39, 28 November 2006 (CST)
Okay. =) 0123456789 06:40, 28 November 2006 (CST)
