taygahn (D'ni: tAgan[?]) is a D'ni word meaning to "love with the mind." This means having a close personal understanding of that person.

In D'ni theology, taygahn refers to a love of Yahvo. In many religious views, especially the teachings of Ahlsendar and Tevahr, taygahn was all that was required to access the Perfect Age. The prophet Gish denounced taygahn as the basis for worship of Yahvo, arguing that it was used to justify whatever actions one wanted. By the end of the reign of Kerath Gish's view had become the standard one.

Taygahn was also used to refer to the love of a husband and wife, which was seen as representative of love for Yahvo.
