The Watcher was a prophet and cult leader.

He was rumored to have been born in 4334 DE (3322 BC) when his mother gave birth while linking from Trases to D'ni. It was said that his supposedly strange birth gave him the ability to see beyond time.

However the Watcher claimed that he was visited by Yahvo on the Age of Windring in about 4396 DE (3260 BC) when he was told that he would see signs that told of events from the past, future and present. He was supposedly blinded until 4500 DE (3156 BC) when he wrote a book of prophecies called Words that would be split into five sections.

In a speech, King Dimath denounced The Watcher's words as "pure rubbish and nothing more than a desperately lonely man seeking attention".

Despite being a prophet, the Watcher spent much of his life hidden on Ages that were fairly secluded, including Windring. The Watcher had a daughter, that became the wife of King Ji.

Years after he died in 4606 DE (3050 BC) people continued to claim they had recently seen him.
