Transliteration

The process of transliteration involves converting a document, sentence, word or similar written in one alphabet, to another, without actually translating the words.

In the Myst universe, transliteration mostly refers to converting from the D'ni to the Roman alphabet, typically using the old or "new" transliteration standards, or for the purposes of Dnifont.
