Ubisoft is a large computer games developer and publisher. In early 2001, they acquired the distribution rights for the entire Myst franchise, i.e. Myst and Myst Masterpiece Edition, Riven, realMyst and the then-close to release Myst III: Exile.

They also agreed to distribute Uru, including the original Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, its expansion packs Uru: To D'ni and Uru: The Path of the Shell (and the bundle Uru: Complete Chronicles), and, at first, Uru Live, although they later backed out of it, citing insufficient consumer interest.

In 2004, Ubisoft released Myst IV: Revelation, which had been developed in-house by "Team Revelation", a group at their Montréal branch. It was produced by Geneviève Lord.

Their final cooperation with Cyan was to publish Myst V: End of Ages.
