Wikipedia, like MYSTlore, is a Wiki website, enabling World Wide Web users around the world to contribute and edit content. It aims to be a comprehensive encyclopedia in a multitude of languages.

Due to its enormous breadth of articles, Wikipedia has numerous pages overlapping MYSTlore's scope. A portal of sorts to its Myst-related pages can be found here.

MYSTlore and Wikipedia both use the MediaWiki software from Wikimedia Foundation, albeit with a different set of customizations and extensions.

Editors can use the wikipedia interwiki prefix to link to articles at Wikipedia, but should typically use the clearer {{wikipedia-link}} template instead, giving the article's name as the first parameter, and optionally a different link text as the second.
