Yableshan
From MYSTlore
Yableshan (yableSan[?]) (4734 - 5081 DE (2922 - 2575 BC)) was a King of D'ni from 4843 DE (2813 BC) until his death in 5081 DE (2575 BC).
He was the first-born son of King Dimath but he was not nearly as strong as his father and did not carry the same level of respect.
[edit] Reign
In 4865 DE (2791 BC), members of the terrorist cult Blood of Yahvo kidnapped Yableshan's first son from the Guild of Chemists. Their purpose was to convice the King to release Goshen, one of their leaders. Yableshan ordered the Relyimah to find his son, but a key member of the Relyimah had joined the Blood of Yahvo and was aiding them and therefore did not manage to find him.
Having no other choice, Yableshan released Goshen but the body of his son appeared on the steps of the palace a few days later.
According to How They Came; A Detailed Look at what started the Mee-Dis War, those events further separated the D'ni people into two sides: those who wished to end outside intervention (who were becoming stronger) and those who didn't.
[edit] Contributions
Yableshan, in order to divert public attention from the brewing wars decided
- In 4889 DE (2767 BC) to announce remodels for all of the 18 Major Guilds, something that never happened before since the arrival. Yableshan changed some of the original restrictions of Ri'neref, granting to the Guilds more liberty in the structures they could build.
- In 4901 DE (2755 BC) also, Yableshan announced his plans for a new Common Library, for a middle-class district (Vamen District).
- In 4910 DE (2746 BC) he announced plans for a new park on Neref Island.
- In 4914 DE (2742 BC) three new Recreation Ages were placed in said park as gifts from the Guild of Writers in order to celebrate the completion of their new Guild.
The people seemed to be pleased, however in 4954 DE (2702 BC) an explosion occurred on the Age of Meanas. The Relyimah did not manage to find clues. Another wave of isolationism demanded the D'ni to seal themselves from outside influence.
In 5043 DE (2613 BC) Yableshan placed Faresh in charge of the Guild of Illusionists and ordered him to find whoever was destroying the Relyimah investigation abilities.
Yableshan never had any other children and left the throne to his youngest brother-in-law (his younger sister's husband).
